Suggestion and Expectation.
When people drink caffeine, they expect to stay awake, be able to run faster etc.
Take some Coke with caffeine and some without. Place them in unmarked paper cups.
Get two groups of people. Tell one that they are drinking Coke with caffeine, and give them the decaf. Reverse for the other group. Have them do pushups in a room and then total the pushups.
The group drinking non-caffeine will perform better than the group with, simply because you suggested the opposite.
In science this is a good demo of the "placebo effect".

do if talking on a cell phone distracts drivers. Get a video game with a steering wheel and tell the "driver" to stay in his/her lane while maintaining a speed of 50 mph. Then give them an object to simulate a phone and ask them simple questions such as "what is your mother's maidan name?"

You could try differing pH levels of streams, rivers etc in your area. If you live near golf courses next to bodies of water (even the water traps) measure their pH against local bodies of water not adjacent to them. Fertilizers can make water more acidic. If you live east of the great lakes region then you can measure the acidity of the water bodies in your area (acid rain). If their is a factory on a river near you you can test it's pH next to one that has no industry on it . pH is cheap and easy to test. It can also indicate a variety of things depending on your hypothesis. Any of the aforementioned id testable and would have a simple hypothesis. Good Luck!

well, my project is easy. all you have to do is stick fruit in jello and see if it solidifies and it counts as an 8th grade project! Basically fruits such as figs and mangos contain protien digesting enzymes called papalin and brombalin ( or something like that) and in the project you you cook, freeze and put the fruit as-is in the gelatin and see if it solidifies. it is that easy!
