The answer is NO!

Mass is a scalar and is unchangeable. If your mass is 100 kg on earth it is 100kg everywhere.

Your *weight* changes with the force of gravity. And the force of gravity will change on Jupiter, Mars, etc.

Speed is also a scalar. A 100 kg mass that's traveling at 25 mph will be the same 25mph that a 500kg mass is traveling. They are the same.

However, since F=ma...that is, Force = mass x acceleration, and acceleration is the change in speed over time...it will take more ***force*** to accelerate that larger mass to 25mph.

Therefore, final speed is not affected by mass...force needed to get it there is.

Hope it helps.

No, because speed =distance/time
it would however take more energy to reach that speed
