I have to write an informal essay that i have gone back in time to the 5th century B.C,attending a performance of Oedipus Rex in Athens. I don't know how to start my first lines of my responses to the sights sounds etc. Can you please help me?

Maybe the easiest way to think about it is to pretend that you're writing an entry in a diary. Think like a tourist. You've just seen the performance, and write a letter to yourself so you won't forget what you've seen and done. Usually such descriptions go chronologically, so you might want to start with how you got in to see the show, what conveyed you to the site, how much you paid for it, what the theatre looked like from the outside, how people were dressed, and so on. Like a tourist, remark on what was exciting and interesting to you. You've got lots of material, I'm sure. Have fun with it!
