How do you recognize a friend? I have learnt over the years, that your only real friend is yourself, but we all know alot of people.
You have to be yourself and if you have the need to tell them to "kof" then do it, you will probably have your reasons.

The world today is a rat-race, full of envy and materialism! If you should rarely feel that connection you asked about, then look after it. These days everyone is too engaged with their own problems, just be cool, polite and you will find out who your friends are.

If you want to tell them to **** off then they shouldn't be your friends lol
Most of my friends I feel a connection with, or else they wouldn't be my friends. Then, I have hang out and partying buddies who I wouldn't consider my true friends..i tell them to **** off if I want them too lol

Amen miss rose__. I grew up with all of my friends and I tell them what's on my mind whether they like it or not. Real friends will respect what you think. As you get older you realize that all people are not to be trusted and it takes a lot of time to let someone new into your life.

I tend to tell the horrid ones to smeg off, and quietly mosey away from the ones that are well meaning but really annoying. I just posted a big long pseudo-philosophical rant about friendship on my blog - at http://madshillelagh.blogspot.com - if you really want to know what I think. :-)

I love my friends. But that is because I only have a few carefuly chosen ones that I trust. I do not have loads of friends. As you grow older, you grow more selective!
