"Home Depot Theme" Parody by Earl S. Garber
Anyone else here see the commercials and start singing along with them? They just sound too much alike. And then you have the Crank Yankers theme that starts just like "Daydream Believer"...
Oh, it's the Home Depot theme
And it's not quite what it seems
It sounds just like my favorite Monkees song
So I better write it down
Don't know how long it's around
Cause maybe some day soon it will be gone.

The Home Depot theme
Oh, my grass is green
With a mulching attachment
On a mowing machine

You once heard of it
And the Monkees lyrics fit
Now you know how parodies begin
Oh, the commercial starts and ends
You want to go down there and spend
But because of the Monkees or of them?

The Home Depot theme
Oh, our clothes are clean
With a new electric dryer
And a washing machine
The Home Depot theme
On our TV screen
With a snappy commercial
That I've already seen

[instrumental interlude]

The Home Depot theme
Lawsuits are forseen
'Cause the music was stolen
From that song 'bout Sleepy Jean

[repeat and fade]
