well, it's actually rather simple. it's the female part of the game. if you open the disk to the nes system, and look in the back, you can kinda see it.
you push the game chip card of the games into the pin connector.
over time and use, they go bad. they are not too expensive, running about 7 dollars, and are actually quite easy to replace.
after replacing it, you will likely take better care of the system, because you have found out just how easy it is to lose the functionality of the system

You need to replace the pin connector. Its a black think inside the NES that connects with your game cart. They sell replacements on ebay. Easy to replace.
First, clean your carts. It might possibly be a dirty cart.

Most of the time it's worn out connector pins... After 20 years of use on those 72 pins, they are bound to wear out... If you want to know how to fix it, go here... It worked for me...

Because they're old as heck. You can buy replacement parts to fix that though. I'm still playing those old Megaman games.
