My husband snores and I bought him aroma therapy, its a gel that smells like Ylang-Ylang and it sits on his night table and works like a charm. I bought it in Toronto over 2 years ago, and I don't think he's snored twice since then. I'm sorry I forgot the company. There's a Life Fest at the Metro Convention Centre down town every year around April and the woman who sells it is always there. It's a jar with gel and oil, I just turn it over every so often to moisten the Gel. And I bought it in April 2005.
Just checked the jar but there's no phone or company.

You should be evaluated by a physician. You could have sleep apnea, a condition charaterized by snoring punctuated by periods of silence when you are not breathing at all. The condition is serious because, not only does it cause daytime drowsiness and possible automobile accidents; but the condition also changes the way blood flows between your heart and lungs, causing high blood pressure and can eventually trigger a heart attack.

Even if you do not have sleep apnea, there are other things that can be done to eliminate snoring, such as a palato-uvuloplasty (not sure I spelled that right).

You might have a medical condition I read about. It can potentially cause serious problems such as breathing stopping during the night. My dad I think has this & I believe that is why he can't stop snoring either (yes he's loud!).

Here's a link. Maybe talk to a doctor about it.
