Organic carbon is carbon in the biosphere, usually in the form of hydrocarbonates. Too much organic carbon leads to anoxic conditions, which is the depletion of oxygen and the formation of peat beds.

an organic carbon is something that all living things have. Whta does it do to water, that i'm not sure.
