In terms of who has the most minutes, best price, good call quality, wide selection of phones, etc? And why? I'm thinking of getting an line added for my daughter, which company is best for family plans, as well?

Go talk to one of the retailers that sells them all for the plans. But go to the company owned store and get a pre-paid phone for a different provider and try the out. If they work where you will be using the phone and they sound good then commit to a contract and they'll probably give you a phone.

I use sprint and haven't had any problems. I only have one line though so i cant really tell you about there family plans.
