I recently found out that there's an opening in my old office and I'm interested in applying. Should I try it out?

If you left on good terms and they didn't expecially want you to leave, you have an advantage over other applicants because you have actual experience there. But I would think long and hard whether whatever made you decide to leave in the first place will not still be a problem if you come back.

I suppose that all depends on what terms you left on. Is this a good employer? Were you a good employee? Do you like the people you worked for and did they like you? If you are interested in applying, what are your reservations? If you have no reservations, why are you writing this???

If you liked working there and you left on good terms (not fired) then yes, you should try it. Many places are very happy to have former employees return. Some of the expenses of training a new employee are cut in half when it is a returning employee.

that depends on how you liked working there, how you left, on what kind of terms and if you would be making more money there than before

If you left on good terms, why not? Especially if you liked it.
If you didn't leave on good terms or didn't like it, then don't go there.
