If it is around Halloween, Bloody Mary might be fun. Your daughter could tell the story of Bloody Mary, of how she was murdered in her bathroom many years before. Then, they'd go into the bathroom and fill the sink with water. The lights are turned off and the girls chant "Bloody Mary" three times to channel her spirit. Meanwhile, while the lights are out, your daughter pours in a few drops of red food coloring she has hidden in her pocket. This will quickly turn the water red. When the girls turn on the light, there will be screaming! But they will have a blast and be talking about it for years.

Oni Tetsu's game suggestion sounded fun - people should see if they can guess whose secret is being pulled out of the hat.
A craft idea that might be a little girly is making scented bath salts. Here's one website that has instructions:
http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/bathsalts.html
and here's another that makes it seem harder than it really is:
http://www.saltworks.us/salt_info/si_MakingBathSalts.asp
Most of the ingredients, except for scented oils, are pretty inexpensive. There's not much too it except for mixing stuff together, but people have fun picking out colors and mixing scents. If everybody brings a jar, or if you have spare jars around, then people have something fun to take home.
A related thing my sister and I used to do was melting large bars of glycerin soap and pouring them into decorative molds (bears, seashells, whatever) to make smaller, pretty soaps.
Yet another crafty thing might be making earrings or bracelets. Places like Michael's often have 40% off coupons in the paper, so you can get supplies amazingly cheaply.
If they're in the mood to cook but you're reluctant to have kids who aren't yours messing around with the oven, there are some no-bake cookie recipes on recipesource.com.
Have fun!

How about an activity where everyone puts a secret, or just an unknown fact into a hat and then someone draws them out and reads them out loud. They don't know who's secret it is, so it makes it interesting. If there aren't a lot of people, have everyone do three or four. It's surprisingly fun.
Oh and as Forgetmen said, leave them alone for it. They'll have more fun.
