If it is a ball cap, you can go to a store like bed bath and beyond and get a hat washing accessory. It is plastic, shaped like a hat. Throw it in the hat washer, throw it in the laundry on cold, take it out and let it air dry inside it. Good as new.

Depending on what kind of hat it is. But I wash my baseball caps by hand let them air dry. If they happen to have a spot, I take a toothbrush and some detergent and get the spot out.
Other hats you could probably do the same thing, but I would need to know what kind of hat you are talking about. Good luck

You can buy a "Ball-cap Buddy" from this site: http://www.hatshack.com/hatshack/product.asp?s_id=0&dept_id=3015&pf_id=PANNICIBOCGHIIMF& My brother had one and he used it all the time! It worked great! You can just put that on the hat, throw it in the washer, and it will keep its shape!

it depends on what kind of hat. but for most, just put it in the washing machine on cold, and put it in one of those laundry bags to wash it if youre afraid it'll lose shape. then dont put it in the dryer, hang it up and let it dry. =]

Put it in one of those plastic hat holders that you buy @ wal-mart and wash it in the dishwasher on the top rack.
