My vote would be for the now retired stevie Y, simply put he is how hockey players should behave on and off the ice, he always carried himself with respect and love for the game and the players, i rememebr when Y received that devastaing eye injury in theplayoffs against the flames, even fans in calgary as well as the players were concerned and worried, not every player in the NHL has that going for him, another playoff run, when they won their last cup, if i heard correctly, stevie Y played through the entire playoffs on a sprained Knee, not something easily done, he took them to the cup. It doesnt get any better than that in my opinion

The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, formerly known as the Lady Byng Trophy, is presented each year to the National Hockey League hockey player voted to have shown the best sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with performance in play.
Some of the past winners are Kariya, Datysuk, obviously Gretzky. Some people that haven't won but should always be considered are Lidstrom, Turco, Yzerman (now retired), and Crosby.
