Just a suggestion. NET 10. It is a prepaid phone and it runs off of cingulars towers, so it has reception almost everywhere. (If it says it does not have service in zip code when you reg, enter in the zip code of the nearest large city, it will still have fine reception an hr away from that destination and does not roam) 10 cents a min, no roaming or long distance. A 300 min card cost $30, and you are only required to buy a new one every 2 months. Any unsed mins will "rollover". Text messaging is 5 cents. The cheapest phone is $50 (nokia), then up to $80, then $90.
My whole family has NET 10, available at wal mart, k mart ect, and we love it. They are great, and so affordabel...is boost?

I had that problem with a Verizon prepaid phone. They charge for roaming, so you must have your area code in your new phone. I had to call them, and they changed it and gave me a new number with my area code.
