What does a lock sign mean on the title bar on my IPOD?

i cant use my iPod right now this is really frustrating, umm is this a techinal issue or like my ipod ******* blocked

Check the HOLD switch on the top

If you see the switch showing an orange background, then it is activated.

Switch it back and it should be disabled and the Lock symbol should disappear.

it means you need to let the hold off whichis the switch at the top of the your ipod

it means you need to turn the hold butten off
