My Ficus tree is losing it's leaves. I'm watering it and giving it enough light but it no longer looks good.

What am I doing wrong.

Ficus trees are finicky. They drop leaves if they are moved. B/c the weather has changed, is the tempature in your house or where it is different? I once they are happy, they stop dropping leaves. Plus they can have leaf drop if they go too long w/o water. I bought one at Wal-mart a couple of weeks ago. It was stressed, had dying leaves on it (maybe 10%) and I asked if I could get it for 1/2 price. Yep! So I've been watering it regularly and it is now not dropping leaves.

Ficus trees do lose some leaves. You could be over or under watering it. They are tough trees and nothing much kills them. If it's in a pot indoors, bring it out into the fresh air for it to recuperate.

if it's a "weeping fig" they don't like too much of anything...
too much water, too much light, too much movement, etc
they like an out of the way place with indirect sunlight, and semi wet soil... you'd think they were a puppy...
