A "troll" is Internet slang for individuals who deliberately post things in message boards with outrageous statements in order to attract attention.
Troll wars, I guess, are competitions to see who can be the most outrageous and insulting.

Yeah, basically it's someone going to forums and getting attention....something like what's going on between Yahoo Answers and Dizzay is an example of a "troll war".
