Yeah, too many...and too many mother and children ones too....I used one once when taking my mum shopping and some silly b`tch started shouting because I was parked there...until I pointed out that I had my mum with me...and I am her child! lol

try looking at it from another point of view, next time you go into a supermarket car park, check out how many cars in disabled spaces are displaying the blue disabled badge, and contrarty to assertion, in our local asda store which has a thousand parking spaces, only 18 are set aside for disabled, there are more for mother and children cars than disabled, also try imagining not being able to walk to the store from the parked car in the first place, i might bring things into perspective

Try walking from the car to the shop if you have osteoarthritis, ME and Fibromyalgia, my other half is 39 and sometimes can not even leave the house, over the last 4 years I have seen this guys life fall apart no longer being able to do the job he loves, hobbies have gone out the window. We are not able to go clubbing or to the pub.
He would give his right arm not to have to have a blue badge.
So you would begrudge this guy any sort of a life?

miss the point entirely,
the handicapped spaces are WIDER than the other spaces., if one has artificiial legs, wheelchair, braces or a van with a ramp or lift the extra width is the difference between getting out of the car or going home, no options. I have asked malls to add extra handicapped spaces (more than the legal requirement) at the far end of the lot, at least only the people who have no other choice use them.
if all the H/C spaces are full, what do you do. if you park in another space then you don't really NEED it. big difference between convienence and necessity. if those spaces are full, I and my wheelcair lift van have to turn around and go home!! and NEVER EVER park in the striped loading area.. mightt use my lift to crush your car ;}
ps we are allowed to come out in bad weather, that is not where you pile the snow you cleared off the rest of the lot.....

I have a blue badge - with a kidney transplant and two replacement knees i struggle to keep myself independant - otherwise i wouldd be reliant on other people and a burden to society - even for me it was quite difficult to get the badge - lots of forms, doctors certificate etc - oh and also - did you know that if have diabetes you get free prescriptions but if you are taking drugs for a transplant ( if you don't take them you die) you have to pay?
Just cause a disability is not visible - does not mean that it is not there.

The ones that truely deserve the permit dont get the parking space, I've seen especially fat lazy people using thier parents permit to park closer. I wonder if there's a way to rat on them. My dad has athritus in his spinal cord and is disabled, sometimes we get the "look" like this guy has nothing but I should know, cuz he has to sleep sometimes sitting down or my mom has to tie his shoelaces cuz he cant bend over. Only thing I know I have my doubts if the person looks younger than 30 and has the handi' sign.

it would be wonderful if my wife could be able to walk round the car parks to count how many disabled parking bays there are in car parks it is because of INCONSIDERATE people who use theIr nans /g/dads badge to get nearer the shops and are afraid of walking or are to lazy parking without a badge I only hope that you are never in need of a badge as then the comment will be very different

And the above writing is why YOUR now a doctor!!! Disabilities can not always be noticed right away. If you've got a problem with handicapped parking, leave your car at home and walk because you'll be doing something I can't do!!!!!

You see, the problem is that so many able bodied people park in the disabled spots that alot of disabled parking is needed

If u were handicapped how would u feel if their weren't parking spaces for you. I go to the VA hosp and their r not enough spots for the handicapped. Stop complaining until you walk in those shoes and I hope u never will.
