I got 2 telephone using the same line

One is ordinary telephone, another is telephone with ADSL modem using same line.

The telephone wire that goes to BOTH phones should have one filter on it.

If your phones are connected separately, then use TWO as a convenience.

With the phone that shares a line with the ADSL modem, plug the phone into the PHONE side, and the ADSL modem in the other side. You don't want the wire that goes to the ADSL modem to go through a phone filter. In the kit is an adapter that has two jacks, one shows a tiny picture of a phone, and the other shows a tiny picture of a computer. (that computer side is unfiltered).

Be sure to KEEP the spare filters. They do fail, so a spare will save you about $10 or so.

Use two filters. One for each phone between the phone and the line going into the wall. Also use a filter on your cable tv line.'
