I can't believe I'm even reading some of these answers.
It's an even number. Every single integer is either even or odd. It's even if it is divisible by 2 with no remainder, and odd otherwise. End of discussion.
It is neither positive nor negative, and while you cannot divide by zero, you can divide zero by any nonzero number.

While Pilly had it right, others seem to think differently, so let's expand on his answer.
0 divided by 2 is 0. That alone makes it even (you can't divide by zero, but you can divide zero. You will always come up with 0, but is "legal").
Also take any number, tack an even numbed behind it and you get an even number. Tack an odd number and you get an odd number.
Tack 0 behind any number and that number will be even.

Zero should be even cos even numbers and odd numbers alternate.
so that when you have 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5 ....
0, 2, 4 are even while
1, 3, 5 are odd

Zero is an even number. An integer "n" is called "even" if there exists an integer "m" such that n = 2m, and "odd" if n+1 is even. From this,it is clear that 0 = (2)(0) is even. The reason for this definitionis so that we have the property that every integer is either even or odd. While it is also true that 0 has many special properties, it is none the less even.
