MAC has its advantages in the world of Art. Graphic designers use it almost exclusely.

But sharing data, documents in the business world means PC (IBM). With the PC, you get people that are trained on standardized tools. You reach 90 percent of the computer literacy and funtionality.

From a security point of view, the MAC wins. Many people that use MACs on-line simply don't have anti-virus programs. MAC users don't even know what SpyWare is.

So it all depends on what you intend to do with it. I use a PC.

Good luck

If you're wanting to purchase something new, I'd say wait until Windows Vista comes out and go with a PC. To clarify a couple of things, one user said a Mac can't run Windows. This isn't true. A Newer Mac with an intel chipset can run Windows as its main OS. You can also emulate Windows on any Mac. Another user said that Macs will start hanging and showing blue screens due to the switch to intel. This isn't true either. Hangs and blue screens are thanks to the OS. Traditionally Macs have a reputation of being more reliable than PCs. I don't think this will be much of an arguement after Vista comes out.

I used to have a Regular computer, and I was always told bad things about about macs and when I used them at school, I HATED them. Then when my dad was given control over my school money, he suggested a mac, cause they used him at the school he teaches at and he got one. I was iffy, but now I have a MacBook Pro, and I LOVE IT! All the things that I thought it couldn't do, IT CAN! It's just different. Things are so much easier! You can figure problems out so quickly, and they hardly ever get viruses and such! It is wonderful! My boyfriend hates macs, but thats because he likes to know all about computers and build them on his own, and that sort of things. Macs aren't really for people who are super curious about computers and want to do everything on their own and know it all. They good for college students, people who don't have time. People who like things simple and don't want to have to mess with comp issues all the time! Mac also has a lot of really neat things on it! I can't wait to leopard so x comes out! I'm going to upgrade and make my mac even BETTER! I totally suggest a mac if you're anything like me! if you have any questions about macs, feel free to ask! valeriev04

Mac for photos, graphics, and imaging. PC for everything else. The PC software COMPLETELY out numbers MAC software.

I do prefer Mac, but unfortunately I don't have enough money to buy it.
So I'll stick around with PC
