General social skills that are attributed by a person during their lifetime are changing, the problem is that social atmospheres are becoming more nondescript with everyone making contact digitally people are being driven more and more to electronic communications, limiting their ability to communicate in groups, to superiors and to the public. More and more jobs are requiring professional public speaking because they know that this is occuring and do not want to deal with employees that can't.
Also, technology is allowing people to be whoever they want, and talk tough, or act sleazy (traits they would not extricate in public). So, people are becoming addicted to that ability and losing a sense of reality.
