Try Right-clicking the box with the red x and then click SHOW PICTURE and sometimes this will 'force' it to show. good luck :-)

I found this happens when I delete cookies. Some sites require you to allow them to place a cookie on your PC in order for you to use their graphics. For example, I downloaded material from a legitimate medical site and copied the graphics onto the document. They displayed fine.

At some point I deleted cookies. When I reopened the file, there were boxes with red Xs. Guess the bottom line is I should have printed the document while I had the graphics. In any event, they are gone.

The red X means that the URL to the Picture is missing...
