Is there anyone who feels like all politicians are lying about everything they say.

People from both parties lie. They do it to sway the uneducated and because there is an inner hatred amongst them. I'll cast my votes for those that hold the higher ground, but I haven't see a single candidate in either party doing so.

Both sides of the aisle are good a what you are calling lying. They don't want to look at it in so graphic of terms, so they call it spin doctoring. Some even go so far as calling it reconfiguring the truth. After an election go out and see how many politicians just came down with Alzheimer's. And they said it was an old timers problem.

I dont think they ALL do. I think alot of it has to do with the issue they are talking about. I truly believe that most politicians are honest and hard working just as you and I. The appearance of lies seems to come from a distoration when you are not there to hear the answer/message directly from them. The message is like the SECRET told in the hair salon commercial many years ago. Or have you played that game "rumor" where you whisper something to someone and then they whisper it to someone else and the last person repeats what they heard? That's the problem as I see it.

Well, its based on perception on what the lies imply. Smoke screen are used by both sides to hide the truth about the issuse. Remember, the truth in the bugdet numbers, and votes tallied up. Closed committtes they have in congress means there some shady deals being made. The goverment is too big actually, and the states should be given more control and local goverment should be the ones to make more discisions than the federal goverment.

Because we have the best politics that money can buy. They cannot tell the truth or they would have to admit that they sold out long ago and don't give a damn about your well being or your future. Expect them to lie, that way you have a much better ability to know what is going on, or is about to happen. For example, if they talk alot about morality and ethics, expect that those who say such things will do the opposite. Look at Foley who was an advocate for children. Actually he was grooming under age boys for his sex life. If they say they are pro life, expect the bombs to be dropping on civilians as soon as they can get to it. If they say they are against illegal immimgration, expect them to be profitting off the sweat of cheap labor from illegals. It goes on and on. It is an unfortunate reality, but one you are better off knowing than being ignorant of.

Of course all politicians lie. All people lie when the stakes are high enough, and the potential to gain power is just about the best way to get someone to ignore his morals.

It's how they con you into voting for them. They really have no intentions of following through with what they promise, just convince you long enough to get elected. It is not the people they care about, it is the corporations that back them.
