working on a 1966 250 CI chevy engine and want to know how do you know if it has solid or hydraulic lifters.

There is a convex part (where the push rod connects) if you push on it and it moves down its hydraulic. If not its flat tapper.
Push w/ some amount of force

VERY GOOD ANSWER TY. I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY THE SAME. also the 250 didnt come with solid lifters,
