it depends on how serious the crime and whether they have proven that they have turned their lives around everyone has the potential to change but it takes alot to make people believe it just like bad cops if they make a mistake thats one thing but when they keep spending that paycheck and continue to be corrupt they should be tossed

The Governor of Wisconsin, Jim Doyle, is a criminal who gives favors for contributions and he is ahead in the polls.
He is a Democrat so the whole corrupt thing is just a given...

G.W. was the first President in history to be elected with a criminal record. Since he has been in office he has appointed more criminals to seats of power than any President ever. So I guess the answer is we are already doing it.
