When I went to high school, a good 80% of the kids were VERY snobbish. And don't think it ends when you graduate. The real world is full of the same stuck up kind of snobs. I dealt with it by not worrying about what the so called popular kids were doing, and just enjoying my own close friends. I never worried about the popularity thing, it never mattered to me. I think people are like that because it makes them feel superior and "better than you". Which just goes to show how immature and ignorant they really are. Just go about your business and enjoy life without worrying about them. They thrive on attention, so don't give it to them.

They are desperately trying to feel "better than you". You caring about them at all just bolsters their feeling of self-importance. It is a vicious circle. They treat people like crap. People care what they think. They feel like they matter.
If it's any consolation, you will probably not care when you get older. I am 41 now and don't really care what other people think.
I assure you that I didn't always feel this way. I did care - alot. I was very sensitive. I felt very hurt. I know you have probably heard this a million times before. It takes alot of mind-over-matter effort to not let what others say hurt your feelings. These people really are pathetic a*s h***es. Seeing them for what they are will empower you.

When you look at it closely you see that they have nothing better to do than pick on unfortunate ones to get their little bit of happiness. Don't worry about it because nine times out of ten they are miserable and are going to be miserable. If you say something to try and defend yourself that is exactly what they want just ignore them. Later in life you will be able to look down at them a laugh. Trust me!

Becasue most popular people have to act a certain way to be like everybody else and they're probably jealous of you because you don't have to act like somebody your not! And i say you shouldn't care what they think anyways because they're nothing but a bunch of stuckup barbie wannabes!

They're actually insecure on the inside.
Sure they have popularity... but when they're home alone they look at themselves and see flaws beyond flaws... and to make themselves feel better they sit around making fun of others to help boost up their self esteem. It is actually quite petty.

Popular kids really aren't so great. You should be happy, and not really care what they say.
Be happy and content with yourself, and they'll get that vibe and leave you alone.
They prey on those that are insecure.

They gain status by doing that. It earns them respect with their peers. Nerds get picked on and get their revenge later by getting rich.
