Hi, I admit they are a pain, but they also have a purpose. They really do devour bad bugs.
You have Asian Lady Beetles which do stress our native Lady beetles because of the food competition.
If you decide to kill them with Horticultural Oil or some other Mild Insecticide. Even Dish Soap and Water will help.
There is one thing you should know first....THE SMELL!!!
Dead Lady bugs and many other beetles STINK!!! So do live ones if you vacuum them up! YEWEOU!!!
I use native Lady Beetles in my work. I get bags of 25 thousand at a time and my car will stick for a day or two after I have had the bags in the car. Heaven help me when some of them get out and then die in the car!
I personally would just leave them be and the cold will handle the job for you! Then You can sweep the bodies off. Or wait for the sparrows to find them.

Dear friend,

If you would like to get rid of ladybugs for good, this will be the most exciting message you have ever read.

Here is why.

Ladybugs have quickly become the Nuisance Pest of the Year, as thousands of Americans and Canadians are being bombarded by and infested with ladybugs, also called "Multi-Colored Asian Lady Beetles".

The problem is, nobody really knows how to get rid of these nuisances. A search on Google will reveal many links that acknowledge the problem, but nobody has any solutions, except telling you to make sure your house is sealed, so they can't get in.

Well Duh! Anybody with half a brain
could have figured that out!

Not to worry... I have an easy, safe, natural, and low-cost solution for you.

Please make me the best answer!!

Year to year some areas in North America will have an infestation of ladybugs. A couple of years ago my balcony was covered in them and you could either sweep them off or let them be. It lasted for just over a month towards the end of that summer. Also killing them may not be the right move as they are a predator to keep away more pesky bugs.

Ladybugs (small beetles with orange backs) are harmless insects. If you have roses or other plants on your deck they are probably protecting them by eating aphids or other harmful bugs. If you don't have any plants then they may be hibernating.

If you don't have any plants of your own that need protecting maybe you have friend that does. Gardeners actually buy ladybugs to put in their garden.

Ladybugs are harmless to humans and I think they are very pretty. If my deck had an "infestation" I would let them be.
