Does anyone know of any asian neighborhoods in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area that are safe to live in and if they are accessible by DART? Also, where are some places to find a job if you are asian and are both fluent in english and mandarin.

I can't help you with the tail end of your query*, but Richardson has a massive 'asian' neighborhood and Garland has a fairly large canvas as well. I spent most of my teen years in Garland and my early adulthood living in Richardson. I used to walk from my apartment to Hong Kong Market (off of Walnut and Audelia, just shy of Richland Community College) all the time. Both cities are extremely DART accessible.

*at least, not from personal experience, but I imagine any of the venues in the Walnut/Audelia area would eagerly snap up someone bilingual, if you aren't super-finicky about what sort of work you want. Unfortunately, the job marketplace in Dallas is tough, and people of all backgrounds and educations are having trouble finding work. Do what you gotta do to make ends meet, and something more aligned with your ideals will open up down the road. I waited three years working shitty jobs, and now I'm working at a place where I actually wake up (some) mornings and look forward to it!

Another great Asian community that no one has mentioned in in Arlington. Arlington is a fantastic city located between Ft. Worth and Dallas and has a large segment of Asians. The area is very clean and safe. Arlington is the tourist center for the DFW metroplex and has a fine police department because of the tax dollars.

You can jump on the Trinity railway and go to Ft.Worth or Dallas and get just about anywhere you want.

Good luck!
