Everyone is blaming Bush for creating more terrorist. Not true. He is creating an insurgency in Iraq, but not terrorist. In my opinion, terrorists are people such as UBL, and the band of merrymen who crashed the planes on 9/11. The people doing the killing in Iraq right now, are not terrorists. Those people are fighting to keep the government there in an ineffective state. They are insurgents. Am I right or wrong?

Insurgent- Rising up against established authority.

Terrorist- The use of force or threats to intimidate especially as a political policy.

They are not using terrorism to support their political policies, because they are not political, they are terrorizing in the name of their religion, and doing it to keep the government from being effective.
Actually, they don't seem to really fit into either catagory. Lets just call them murderers and be done with it.

Wrong. The war is a recruiting tool for terrorist groups. They are bringing in new recruits to fight in Iraq from other countries. These are not insurgents but true terrorists that help stir up the insurgency. The insurgents are generally loyal to some local militia while Al Quida in Iraq has it's own command structure

You are wrong! A Terrorist is anyone, group, organization or even a country, that instills fear and terror in people by killing men, women and children, in a heinous manner, to further their Own Cause!
An Insurgent is anyone, group or organization that fights the military of their own Country, for reasons, good or bad. BUT, they do not randomly kill men, women and children, who are not combatants.
What we have in Iraq are Terrorists, who have come to Iraq from all over the World, with one cause. They will kill anyone and everyone, in their goal to prevent an Islamic State from becoming a Democratic, and Free Country.
They believe that defeating us in Iraq will prove that the United States, and other Free Countries, are weak, and can be conquered by the Armies that they will then be able to create.
Their ultimate goal is the conquest of all Countries, and the enslavement of their Peoples under the their perversely revised Islamic Religion.
Everyone had better understand that we have no choice! We either win this War, or we will have THEIR WAR in the United States of America. Also understand that they wear no Uniforms of any Country, and you will NOT know from whom to protect yourself, and your Family.

Although they may share some ethics (or lack of) they are essentially different. Terrorists want to carry through a murderous political point, whether they be of an organised group or solitary. Insurgents are usually fighting on their own soil against invading interests. That doesn't necessarily make them terrorists at all.

They are not the same and it is dangerous to lump them together. Terrorists are scum to be rooted out in the interest of saving lives. The insurgency is a complicated matter because these are often desperate downtrodden people, who act as a community to defend themselves against the death that surrounds them.

For now. But what's to stop the insurgents from seeking revenge against the US even after we leave Iraq? In that sense Iraq has become a training ground for terrorists.

An insurgent is a home grown terrorist.

Now what was it that we called Timothy McVeigh????, somehow "insurgent" doesn't ring a bell.

Location is the only difference.Bush is not making them only killing them.Think about it the money spent on arms and ammunition is not going to covert cells. You don't think those people are fighting and dieing for free do you ? No one does.
