I think that so many priest are homosexual pedofiles because of the restrictions put on their lives. Christians are so conviced that homosexuality is a choice that your trusted priests are molesting boys in secrecy not knowing how to deal with their obviously unchosen affliction. what do you think.

I think:
1) Only a small number of priests actually molested children. Headlines always make criminals seem more numerous than they actually are.
2) The molestation -- tragic as it was -- was only part of the scandal. The rest of it was the cover-up: There are bishops who should be in jail right now for obstruction of justice.

I think you're 80% right.
Think about it, guy or girl, as an adult, if you go without sex for a long time, you'll settle for sex with someone you wouldn't have sex with if you were "sexualy satisfied".
Take it to the extreme, and there you go, people having sex with things they normally would NEVER think about.
I think that has a LOT to do with it.
At the same time though, the kids really look up to these priests. Look to them for answers. The priests are really empowered by this, and some of them abuse it.
On a side note though, I'm sure priests don't make up the majority of child molesters, I think that the fact that they ARE catholic priests brings a lot more focus.

It doesn't matter if child molestation is more prevalent in other churches. The coverup of pedophilic priests' actions started right at the top. The Pope has the power to end it TODAY by ordering all bishops to cooperate with civil authorities and by excommunicating pedophiles, but he obviously doesn't think it's important enough to protect children.
Child molesters are the scum of the earth, regardless of what religion they practice.

Do you know that child sexual abuse it far mor prevalent in Mormon, Southern Baptist, Jehova's Witness, and Pentecostal churches than in Catholic churches? Not to mention the Muslim religions Yet you constantly go on about the Catholic priests. Pot and kettle thing here.
