I have horrible writers block. I have this story about a nineteen year old kid named Cirdon with an awesome opening in which he finds his older brother after nearly ten years of seperation. They are both orphans and were split up in foster care. The setting is a ficticious urban city kind of like New York. I know I want it too have a governemental twist, becasue Cirdon's older brtoher works for a private organiztaion called R.I.N. (Retreival & Information Network) that is looked down upon by the communist/dictatorship-ISH government. I just don't know where I can go with it. Any ideas?

The two brothers may decide after finding each other, to use the older brothers position in R.I.N. to find out more information about thier parents and past. Perhaps thier parents were killed by a government assassin. Cirdon's brother might be able to piece together parts of the puzzle, but is discovered by those responsible for the murders. Then the assassin who killed thier parents is sent to stop the brothers from revealing the truth.

They have this similarity which ties them together. The governmental job is a problem coz the other brother is zen buddhist. The mind and awareness is sacred and not to be infiltrated or invaded. The buddhist is having an effect on the brother gone the totally other direction. Once so sure, he now questions his motives and the ethics of what he is involved in. He never even saw it that way. But, what to do? If he abandons the project it means his head on a platter...but, if he continues it will compromise his brother and now, even his own standards. Does the governmental automoton become a buddhist? Does he even expose the whole evil conspiracy? Or does he &#@% his brother? Stay tuned, Grasshopper...

How about this: The older brother seems like the ideal older bro - strong, confident, savvy, and he seems amazed and delighted to meet his younger brother after the long separation. He brings the kid bro into the organization he works for which appears to be an elite group that secretly helps anti-government cells by supplying information and sometimes hardware, and the drugs they need for underground clinics. Your hero is flattered to be welcomed to the group. They train him and take him around. But REALLY the group they're in IS government sponsored and is helping these agents infiltrate the anti-government underground, which is has gotten really large, and the gov't is starting to feel threatened. The big bro has been surgically enhanced AND brainwashed. .......the rest us up to you.

Maybe one of the brothers gets sued or something. Or he thinks he's doing something legal but it's really illegal. That sort of sounds retarted but go figure.
