Jealous? There is no bandwagon jumping in the Buckeye nation. I'm sure those who you are refering to have some sort of connections. If bandwagon jumping was the case, then why are there always three or four commentators on ESPN picking against them on a weekly basis (Mark May, Lee Corso, etc.). Make no mistake about it, we have the best, most loyal fans in the nation, and it will always be that way. Maybe you just need a better team.

there are a lot of osu fans because over 50,000 people go to school there ever year. so there are very many people across the country that graduated from osu. i didnt go there but i have lived in central ohio my entire life so i am also a buckeye fan.
it must really suck to be a temple fan. but at least nobody can call you a bandwagon jumper. will they ever win a game?

I have been a Buckeye Fan my entire life. My family was all born in Fostoria, Ohio.
I love the Buckeyes because to me they represent football for the state of Ohio. I have been to many games and I can't wait to go see my friends in Glendale when OSU goes for another National Championship.
Michigan sucks as always. GO BUCKEYES!!!

If you're from the Ohio area, it's because they are rated #1 in the national polls. People feel good when a local team is winning, and it brings out.... the spirit...the good feeling you get from winning. Losing games tends to bring you down. Right?
But stick with your team! All teams need support!

I've never been a big fan of those big schools with USC being the exception. I went to a state university and I am a loyal fan of the football team even though they suck and they're not a big school (San Diego State Aztecs).
It annoys me to no end about how many OSU fans on here.

My guess is they don't. Most of the fans you see yelling for OSU, were yelling for Texas and USC last season and Oklahoma a few years ago. They are bandwagon fans who cannot admit that it takes a true fan to pull for one team all the time no matter what that team's record is.

2 reasons - the players from the NFL introduce themselves as being from THE Ohio State University, and secondly, people like those stickers they wear on their helmets.

this year its because they have the most talent,,,troy smith will win the hiesman this year,,ginn jr. has awesome speed,,many weapons on osu offense,,,,defense is solid again this year
jim tressel is a very good coach,,,does alot of charity events by himself and some with members of the team that the rest of the nation rarely if ever hears about,,,
