"maybe they are just desperate people who want us to leave them alone!"

Yeah, that's why they've been sweeping across the planet like a plague for 1,500 years spreading their false religion by the sword, intimidation, slavery and death.

If they "want to be left alone", let them stay within the confines of their own countries. They can keep their religion of death, as long as they only murder and surpress themselves.

Deport 'em. Bomb 'em, before they do us again.

"The difference between the U.S. and the muslims is they have the will but not the means to exterminate you. The U.S. has the means, but not the will." - A. Sharon, Israeli Prime Minister, 2005.

Unless we defend ourselves, we'll be in the dustbin of history very soon.

stephanie says, "I am however for truth and equality in the world and for other countries to be free to be a country..." She obviously is extremely ignorant about islam. There is NO liberty, NO freedom, NO equality in islam. Submit, be enslaved or die. NO other choice. You might be the last to die, but you'd undoubtedly die none the less, Baby.

Without reading the question and full answer, I can't really comment, but you do tend to bait people.

I am liberal (but you already knew that). I think Chavez had a right to say what he said, regardless of whether you or I agree with him. It is his opinion, and he is entitled to it, just like I am entitled to mine and you, yours.

I am 100% for killing the terrorists before they get to us again. I don't believe Bush is protecting us. Most government agencies say his policies are actually making terrorism worse. I am THANKFUL for our brave men and women in uniform who are on the front lines, not Bush calling the shots from a bunker.

I just found the question and her response. Reading her reply IN CONTEXT, it makes a lot more sense than your snippit. Our foreign policy is one of the root causes of terrorism. Anyone who has any knowledge of Middle East history can tell you that. We have been supporting repressive regimes and installing puppet dictatorships over there for a hundred years. The British are responsible for Saddam's rise to power and we are responsible for giving his biological weapons and turning a blind eye.

And you wonder why they hate us. Here's a hint: it's not for our freedoms. "They hate us for our indiscriminate use of overwhelming power, political, and economic dominance and our support of repressive regimes" doesn't quite have the same ring to it, I guess.

But that's just my opinion....

If you are going to use a quote you MUST cite the source and who said it. I mean, if it was your crazy next door neighbor, it's completely unfair to use this as it's hardly indicative of an "informed" opinion, liberal or otherwise. I could use quotes from my crazy Uncle Lou who thinks segregation was a great idea as an example of conservative opinion, but (hopefully) he is not indicative of most Republicans, and is certainly not "informed." Besides, without citing a source or attributing the quote to someone, who's to say you didn't make it up? I thought that EVERYONE who went to college knew this sort of thing. English 101, right? Unless you go back and amend this, it will have to be assumed that this is a bogus quote.

Really. What do you think they are mad at us about? Maybe that is one of the reasons why they hate us and attack us. Maybe we need to quit aiding other countries with weapons when we know they can take care of themselves. We'll, have you learned your lesson for supporting others with weapons or are you going to keep doing it? Oh yeah thats right, Bush aided The Northern Alliance, which is a TERRORIST group. Keep up the good work, I feel so free and secure.

Oh, jeez. What do you think happens when you attack a country and bomb it back into the stone age, killing thousands of innocent civilians as you do so? You get a bunch of desperate angry people who just want you to leave them alone- and they fight back against you however they can. That's how the occupation of Iraq has created all these new terrorists. What would you do if another country took over the US and killed and maimed your family? Exactly. I don't condone their actions, but we must take responsibility for our part in those actions. Apparently, conservatives no longer believe in personal responsibility.

If you really believe what you said, why is it then that the Bush Administration ties the militaries hands to get the Son of a Bitches.

You do realize that GW has created more terrorists than stopped them, right? People who normally would have lived in obscurity are now answering the call to martyrdom because of the actions of our current president.

Stop believing propaganda. It's dangerous and lacks intelligence.

Ah the deluded irrational mind of a republican conservative.
I truly admire your kind for its ability to be soo narrow minded and rigid in its view of everything. It must be amazing to wake up every day with the absolute knowledge that you and your kind are right about everything. It must be really nice to see everything in black and white so there is never any confusion.
I am not for Osama or Hugo Chavez.I am however for truth and equality in the world and for other countries to be free to be a country without the US butting in.
