I believe they ruled out hanging as it might feed the Civil War so I won't take anything extreme and not well thought out as the best answer.

I think he will die of “natural” causes before the trial is over.

Seriously, the way he has turned the trial into a one-ring circus anything can happen.
Right now I wouldn't bet money that he'll even be convicted but keep jerking the Iraq court system around 'til he dies of old age.
He might even 'walk' on a plea-bargain to go help O.J. find 'The Real Killer'.

Well that would be up the "Iraqi Government" after wouldnt it?
A citizen of the US couldn really guess as it is their government and their tyrannical leader to do with what they may.
To suggest even an idea of what may be done with him smacks of interference with a fledgling democracy. Just let the country be they can make their own decision.They dont need the US telling them what to do all the time.

He will probably serve life in prison. If they hang him he will become a martyr to some extreme Islamic group.

There's not much to think about, he will be dealt with in accordance to his trial outcome and sentencing. I'm sure there will be lots of creative answers, but the only realistic one will be told upon Saddam Hussein's sentencing day.

He'll probably just be given a life sentence with no parole. To me that is not enough but that is what our system is all about.
