Is the canadian film industry that bad?

Question

I read this artile in wikipedia and it was surprising, becasue I always thought that it was very well stablished. Anyway, what do you think?

I think that it would die if the Canadian gov't pulled the plug on it. Canada is paranoid about the USA having all the fun, so the gov't (CRTC) tries to provide "things Canadian".

Sadly, the Canadians would have quite the entertainment industry if all of the Canadians living in the USA would move back home. There must be dozens of Canadians making huge money in Hollywood, Vegas, etc.

PS - my favorite girl group is a Canadian secret.... unknown outside of Canada.

It isn't bad, it's just that as an American we (assuming you are an American as I am) don't see what come out of Canadian Cinema. There is a current Canadian film out new in Canada, but do you know what it is? Yahoo lists it, but does not include theater counts or even a synopsis of the film.
Television is the same way... they have all the US programs plus the CDN programs that the US never sees... a little unfair to me...

Yes. It's HORRIBLE!!! They've corrupted Disney, and therefore, it's leaking into ABC! ABC Family is no longer family friendly anymore. It's full of sex and other garbage!!! Canada is horrible with the media!
