I am taking a trip to LasVegas and Expedia offers a power pass to get discounts on dinners and attractions while in Las Vegas. Is it worth it or should I wait until we get to the hotel and just look around for good deals on things?

I had never heard of the Power Pass so checked it out on-line. I'd DEFINITELY skip it. We go to Vegas frequently. Many of the things they list you either won't want to see or can see for free (or at half price) other ways. There are plenty of deals if you look around. Even your own hotel should offer discounts on whatever they have. There are places where you can buy discounted show tickets and if you're willing to look at a time share you can often see a show and get a free dinner. BUT... look at the list of what is offered before you commit. Some are great and some aren't worth spending time to get for free. If there's a show you really want to see buy your tickets from home well ahead of time or you might be very disappointed.

Here's a couple of sites to help you out. Do know that the food is no longer inexpensive, especially the buffets and many are pretty bad. Go by the ratings and stick to those near the top of the list or recommended by Las Vegas Advisor. You won't be sorry.

Just Google Las Vegas and you'll find tons of sites with information.

Las Vegas is the absolute most interesting and amusing town in the world and with hotelbye you will see out more. Nowhere otherwise on earth you will see an area that has all of the journey amenities that merely a complete resort location could offer: magnificent casino accommodations, fine dining, amazing live amusement and state-of-the artwork convention and business show facilities. Las Vegas is definitely a spectacular town and precisely what you would expect from the world-class area, and more, is below for the journey pleasure. Among the areas you must visit in Las Vegas could be the Fremont Street, a pedestrian region with a myriad of distinctive sites.

DON'T BUY THAT POWER PASS

Wait until you get to LV, and make decisions about your activities at that time
However if you want to see one of the Cirque Du Soleil shows, you will need to get your tickets way in advance (90 days)
The shows are ALWAYS sold out

You can decide on other attractions each day. Just walking up and down the strip is a HUGE free attraction.

Wait until you are there then get the paper and the Las Vegas Insider. These two publications coupled with the plethora of handouts you will recieve should cover anything you will want.

All those coupons and perks are so well worth it! My Mom and Dad go to Atlantic City twice a year on coupons and never had been snagged or duped by them. It is in the best of interest of the casino's not to do such a thing because it takes away from their business. So yes, I would purchase them and use them to the best of your ability! That's what they are their for, they hope you will return next year again to go to the same places. Have fun!
