It seems that the Beach Boys were pretty much perfect live. The Beatles on the other hand just got through with their energy. I guess you can say that the Beatles could never hear themselves on stage with all the screaming fans but then again the Beach Boys had much more complex vocal harmonies. Check 'em out on You Tube.

We're not talking about the better group. I think the Beatles were the better group. I'm just talking about live perfomances.

I saw them both in concert - the Beach Boys were much better in concert. They had a much more polished act, they knew what they were doing, and it was much, much more professional. The Beatles on the other hand, just basically went from song-to-song saying little in-between, not that anyone could hear them anyway! Compared to the Beach Boys in concert, the Beatles were rank amateurs.

You're right, Beach Boys were much better live, they put on a nice show.

BUT, the Beatles were practically PERFECT in the studio, actually, the latter albums were basically studio productions and could not possibly have been played live anyway. They got really close to perfection.

Beatles forever!

No one could possibly match the energy the Beatles had before they made it big.
After 1964, their live shows were only 30 minutes long....and impossible to hear.

that's a complicated %. yet i'm gonna pass forward and say sea coast Boys. they don't get the honour they deserve, labeling the sea coast Boys as 'surf rock' is as ignorant and misinformed as labeling the Beatles as a 'British Boy Band'. the two extremely had something of a contest going on via fact the sea coast Boys' track grew to become into merely as out-there and inventive via fact the Beatles on the time. did you recognize that Paul Mcartney's popular album of all time is puppy Sounds? by way of the sea coast Boys?

a lot of the answer has to do with opinion re. material performed. there are acts today with better equipment than the Beatles had, but no one has better music. the Fab Four get my nod all the way
