Anything that is impersonal - a phone call, a letter, a post-it...cowardly ways of getting out of the relationship without doing anything face-to-face. Nothing is worse than that. It shows the person doesn't even care enough to make sure the other person is okay afterwards. It's simply a way of getting out fast, and not caring about the consequences.

I think anytime is the worst time to break up with somebody. If you are not in love with that person let them go the longer you hold on to them the harder it will be on them, weather it is the holidays or not.

There is no good time----just don't make it worse by doing it when there are already some problems in the relationship--if you are breaking up, then make sure it is out of what you both want or what you want, not out of anger or hate over some other issue. Good Luck!

There is no good time. If you are through with a relationship just end it...prolonging the inevitable won't do anyone any good

My wife left me two days before my birthday-that was pretty bad, especially as she had been thinking about it for weeks.
