my lannguage teacher is making us limit our linking verbs but i cant think of a way to do it.

Just say what you or somebody else is actually doing. don't say "I should go to sleep now." You can say it in a different way "It would be best if I went to sleep now." you can use different words in place of would should and could. Maybe instead of saying could you can say to be able to. "I could do cartwheels." "I was able to do cartwheels." i don't know. sorry if this doesn't help. There are a million ways to say things you just need to think about it.
