Honey it is perfectly normal for you to have all kinds of crampy feelings especially early on in your pregnancy. You did not say how far along you are but since you described them as cramps and not as contractions I made the assumtion that you were in your early months. It is pretty normal to have some cramping around the time that you would have started your period. There is a lot going on down there when you are pregnant and not all of it is comfortable.
IF the pain were to become really awful, I mean like you are crying and unable to go about your normal activities, heck yes, call the doctor. But if it is just "crampy feelings" I am sure you are fine. Especially given the fact that you are not bleeding.....now that would have had me telling you to call the doctor ASAP.
Get a little spiral notebook and write down any and all questions that you have for your doctor. Take it with you to your next appointment, keep it in your hand, not in your purse, and do not let him get out of that office until he answers your questions! If you have to just grab him as he is going out the door and say "I have some questions that I need you to answer for me". They will usually resign themselves to sitting down and listening at that point. Some are better than others but it seems that all doctors are busy, especially those that delivery babies. Still, remember, you are paying him/her. Ask questions, they are there to answer them. No question is silly....make them tell you what you need to know to feel safe and content. This is YOUR pregnancy and you deserve to enjoy it as much as possible. Insist on it!
Love and Blessings to you and your baby!

Your Body actually has 2 periods a month, one is a white/clear period, this indicates that you are ovulating, the conditions for the egg to be released have to be perfect and for this to happen the body sets about each month giving you this clear period, the clear period is just mucus that will nuture and protect both the egg and the sperm if you are wanting to get pregnant the best time to have sex is when the mucus is the consistancy of uncooked egg whites and will stretch easily between your finger tips. and with ovulation there can be cramps, some women suffer from it others dont.
I have 2 beautiful girls and one on the way by charting my cycles in this way, its called The Billings Method.
