My bf is in Iraq and misses the snow so I am trying to figure out a way to ship some to him...Cannot use dry ice

Gosh don't know if you can! But that is a nice gesture and it is supposed to snow tonight!! Maybe just take a few pictures of the snow falling - and than freeze some in a plastic container- of course it will be melted by the time it arrives - but that is the point of the picture than!! I think he would appreciate it !

Put some snow in a sandwich bag and immediately put it in your freezer. Then line a small box with styrofoam, then inside the lining of styrofoam line with frozen ice packs. Put the sandwich bag full of snow inside of the lining of frozen ice packs just before mailing. Mark fragile and hope for the best :) Mail by the fastest mode of mail available.

You can't, but you could send him pictures via email when it starts! Isn't it suppose to snow tonight and tomorrow? If you don't have a digital camera, let me know. I'll take the pics, email them to you and you can send them on.

How about kissing your snowflake looking notepaper (nice red lipstick on) with various angles of six lips on it and he'll be just as thrilled and chilled. Tell him you miss him so. Or, if you're not thrilled with that, send him astronaut ice cream which you can buy online.

maybe try to pack it in dry ice and send it overnight... that may be expensive though.
just send him the snow in a jar. by the time it gets to him it will be water but he can drink it and carry a 'piece of it with him always.'
