They don't float up dead, they already gone when they have been hit by the hit of lightning because the force are much larger than the fish and the size of the force are trememdous that able to squash a small living beings.

nicely, they do die in the event that they're close adequate to the lightning strike. usually, to establish that an organism to die via lightning, a sufficient modern-day has to pass interior the direction of the organism or the extreme temperature from the lightning fries it. whilst lightning strikes a lake, the present right now disperses and for this reason the present at maximum areas isn't sufficiently enormous to kill something. (apart from the area interior the on the spot place of the strike)

Electricity is subject to the Inverse Square Law. What that means is that, for every unit of distance from the source, the power fades by a factor of 4.
If you have 10,000 volts at the source (the impact point) you'll only have 2,500 volts at a given distance, say 10 feet away. Using those numbers, by 20 feet, you'd have only 625 volts; at 30 feet you'd have only 1/4 of that, and so on down to zero.

Lightning very unlikely tohit a lake coz its flat. Lightning tends to hit the tallest pointiest thing around.
If it did hit then the electricity is quickly dispersed in all directions and very little energy would reach the fish. So would live.

I would say it would depend on the severity of the Lightning Bolt, and how many fish was in that immediate area.

The current spreads out rapidly in three dimensions, so quickly falls to low enough levels that fish are not killed.
