shoes with black dress?

For a wedding next week, I am wearing a v neck black satin dress with a ribbon belt around the waist with the skirt to the knee folded like an accordion bottom. Should I wear standard black strappy sandals or go for something like gold shoes?

Black strappies will look best. If you have an skirt that folds at the knee and you drop a pair of gold shoes under them, it's going to call attention to your feet. Unless you have a size three, that's probably not something you want to do. So go with the black. It's classic, it's sexy, and it won't detract from your outfit.
If you're wearing a satin dress to begin with, that's all the shine and sparkle you need.

if you want to pop, wear a color shoe, but don't limit yourself to gold. RED would catch everyone's eye. If you have your heart set on gold, don't forget to wear simple jewelry that matches. It will pull the whole thing together well.

but the most important thing is the handbag u carry must goes along with what shoe u put on. it will turn everything off if u have the wrong bag to go with the overall outfit.

the most easiest way to match things up are glitery to glitery, satin to satin, etc. dont put on too much jewelleries or accessories if u have glittery/shiny shoes and bag, but u definitely have to put on some if ur shoes and bag are plain in black.

same thing to golden shoes, it goes well only if u have the right bag.

i would say gold/silver/clear...but i wouldnt wear black on top of black, wearing different color shoes will make your outfit standout more good luck!
