i would take that to a dry cleaners. Unless, your washer has a delitcate/extra slow cycle. if thats the case put the was on "medium" for size, even though its only one thing (more water to move around in) and fill the wash basin with COLD water and detergent (you might even want to use woolite) before you put it in. Put it in inside out (to prevent knicks on the outside)... and let it wash... once it is done -- put it on a drying rack makign sure its laying flat... good luck!!

The best thing to do is to follow the care label exactly. If it says dry clean only, you are taking a risk washing mohair, which shrinks easily.

I always wash wool sweaters (all different types) by hand with gentle detergent. I wring out the excess water and hang out to dry..preferably flat.

U can dry it in a bath towel by rolling it in the towel to get the excess of water out.

gently, with good quality soap flakes and conditioner, and hand wash only, wring gently and dry it flat - do not hang, do not tumble dry, do not spin it

by hand and carefully, if you got a handwash on your machine all the better..just be careful you don't shrink it.. and dry it flat
