I know nothing of a paradox but if your considering suicide I too had suicidal thoughts I learned to accept myself, and also that life deals up one disappointment after another.its just how we deal with them,is what defines us.i suggest that u start to change by holding your head up,even if you have to force yourself, which u will at the start for a few months.as soon as you realize that YOU are the most important in your life, the better off you will be.you are no good for anyone else, until you are first good to yourself.a shrink can only steer u in the right direction, but only u can change the way u feel.u always have options, and if your family wont support u,you will have to detach from them emotionally for awhile, until u have gained confidence.then u will probably see that they are struggling with problems of their own.life is tough for us all my friend, and i will end now with,"GOD,GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE,THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN,AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE".I wish u well, keep your chin up and if your not having those thoughts maybe these words may help someone else they helped me

1. You live to be happy, but instead you want to die to stop the "pain"
2. You think that your life is a waste, when you should be glad to live to begin with
there are many more

I have never heard it called that, but if I did, I would be just as confused.
