If it is still only at the "think" stage, then don't do anything. What would that achieve? If he starts making a move, then you have to have a quiet word "like you a lot, but I'm married"...etc.
It's not impossible that he does have feelings, but isn't about to act on them, in which case, simply enjoy the attention. If he isn't trying to act on it, then it would be disrepectful to confront him, however gently.
But the bottom line is that he does have to respect your marriage and if he can't, or won't, then he can't be much of a friend.

If he's truely your friend, he should understand. Let him know how you feel about the situation. You never know, you may have even mis-understood him. Either way, it's best to clear the air and resume your friendship if possible.
