i turned on the radio and heard the end of this song on the radio station that plays alternative/ punk music and there is a note on guitar that is held out then there is a quick 2 or 3 hits on the low tom on a drumset and then the guitar does a bit of a scale going down then ends in a quick chord on the guitar. i dont know what song it is but here are some bands i like and it COULD be one of them

ok well here i like those bands too!
i like them all except i don't really listen to ACDC or MxPx... but the other OMG i do listen to!!!!!!! you have some great taste in music!!!!!!! You rock! those are great bands!!!! i luv them!!! oh and that song you heard sounds like it could have been an MCR song... but here is how you can rule out what bands it couldn't have been is the ones that don't or haven't recently been played that much on the radio.... you know? oh an do you remember any lyrics or did you not hear any cuz it was at the end of the song? ok well good Luck! i hope you find what you were listening to!!! you have a great taste in music dont' listen to people that say you don't cuz i listen to those bands too!

SAD or ROCK? Okay.. I'm not sure on that. If by sad you mean.... slow and kind of emo... Evanescence has lots of these, as well as rock, such as: Hello Like You My Immortal Your Star Missing All That I'm Living For Sweet Sacrifice Weight of the World Going Under The Veronicas: All I Have Heavily Broken In Another Life Someone Wake Me Up My Chemical Romance has lots of good rock songs, and so does Switchfoot.

The only truly credible band on your list is AC/DC.....the rest, except for System of a Down, sound EXACTLY the same
