what are peoples oppinions about the war in iraq...answers dont have to be specific...just any oppinions having to do with the war

Sometimes im not sure how i feel... but i know this....what happens if we pull our troops out? what if they bring the war over here. i dont think its logical to bring our troops out. and i know the death toll is rising. but u have to think of it this way, the people that are over there fighting for us WANT to be there, thats why they joined the service, my boyfriend is going to be joining the marines, and im PROUD of him, wanting to serve his country and do some sorta justice for all those people who died in 911. some people dont understand why we are over there figthing. but what if it was YOUR son or YOUR daughter, mother, father, grandpa that died that day in the towers. would u just stand around waiting for them to attack again? sorry just venting.

The war in Iraq is a mess. It's quickly spiraling out of control.
I said this in 2003 and I say it now. Winning the war is easy, but occupying a country and keeping the peace are impossible.
No country has EVER successfully occupied another nation. In the end, they leave with their tails between their legs. I challenge anyone to name a country that has been successfully occupied by a foreign force for an extended period of time.

If the situation doesn't start improving in the future, our next president might not get re-elected. Just as there is one type of conflict in Iraq, we could be looking at something similar in the U.S. in years to come. Maybe worse than the Vietnam War protests.

The word is spelled "opinion" and my thoughts are that we should have kept our focus on Afghanistan.
You can argue that getting rid of Saddam and setting up a constitutional government and a democracy showed good intentions, but it has all gone terribly wrong. Remember the old adage, "Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst." We got it half right.

We should've just dropped a few nukes on Baghdad & the Sunni triangle and the war would have been over in 30 minutes with zero US caulities.

well to be honest those iraquis believe that god likes them being evil but he doesnt. And those iraquis should stop being evil they cause so much trouble i think we are living in the last days.
