Try writing backwards with your left hand.
You may find you can write backwards pretty well with your left hand, without even practicing.
You can even write at the same time with both hands, writing the same thing forward with the right hand and backwards with the left hand.
Try it!
But I'm going to try what you're doing. It sounds pretty neat, and I'm curious to see if it works.

The word for someone who can do things with either right hand or left hand is ambidexterous.
Yes, you can, I am left-handed by nature, when I was a kid, back in the stone age, the nuns said the left hand was the hand of the devil and i had to learn to write with my right hand and sit on my left hand. I was 12 before the wrinkles went away.
A left-handed friend got caught writing with her left hand, the nun smacked her end with the metal edge of a ruler, she had to get stitches. Then she went home and got punished by her parents. Can you imagine that happening now?
I stopped doing that in 4th grade, and went back to writing with my left hand. But it can be done.

I did the same thing, when I was 13. I taught myself how to write with my left-hand. Now I can write with either.

Maybe not at the end of the year, but you can do it. I studied art in college, and some drawings they made us draw with two hands at the same time. I think anyone can do it.
